Charmaine Jones
Charmaine is the founder and music director of Gospo Music, the amazing Adelaide based Gospel music ensemble. She has a unique vocal style derived from roots in jazz, funk, gospel, pop, r 'n' b, and choral music. She has amassed extensive performance experience both on stage with leading Adelaide all-star bands such as Supernova, and in the recording studio as an in demand session singer.

Charmaine has worked alongside many national and international industry greats, including Michael Buble, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Don Rader, Bobby Shew, Lillian Boute, Tony Caramia, Glen Shorrock, Idea of North and Elvis Presley’s Sweet Inspirations in both a solo and choral capacity. Career highlights include performing with the world renowned jazz vocal ensemble Adelaide Connection, touring internationally with acapella sextet Sonic Fix and featuring on the CD of highly acclaimed Latin-jazz outfit Caliente.

Since completing her degree in jazz performance at Adelaide University Elder School of Music, Charmaine has established herself as a well respected music educator and choral director. She is currently a vocal lecturer at the School of Music and at Saint Mary's Secondary College where she has taught for 10 years. She has also worked as a music director with the Uniting Church, and has been widely recognised for her vocal arranging abilities by many national and international guest musicians. With a range that covers deep contralto to high soprano, Charmaine's voice soars effortlessly over a wide variety of styles with great feel and timing. With such impressive vocal ability Charmaine has a reputation as one of Adelaide's finest performers.
